Cancellation and Refund Policy

Effective Date: December 11, 2024

- The standard for accepting cancellation requests is based on the time when a 'Refund Request Form' is received during the Company's operating hours, or the time recorded in '1:1 Inquiry' within the TripFriend platform, or the time when a 'Cancellation Request' is received.

- For reservation cancellations that occur because a Friend cannot provide the scheduled service due to schedule changes after reservation confirmation, fees according to this cancellation and refund policy will be charged.

- Matters related to travel itinerary changes must be inquired directly to the Friend. Depending on the content of the change request, additional fees may be charged or itinerary changes may not be possible.

- If there are separate provisions for cancellation and refund policies in the description of each product, the separate provisions for each product shall take precedence over this cancellation and refund policy.

Friend Trip Cancellation/Refund Guide

When a contract is arbitrarily terminated before the trip start date after trip payment has been made, travel fees will be refunded according to the following criteria regarding the timing of termination notification.

  • Notification up to 30 days before travel start (~30): Full refund of trip fee
  • Notification up to 20 days before travel start (29~20): Refund after deducting 10% from total product amount
  • Notification up to 7 days before travel start (19~7): Refund after deducting 30% from total product amount
  • Notification up to 1 day before travel start (6~1): Refund after deducting 50% from total product amount
  • Notification on travel day ~ before tour start: Refund after deducting 90% from total product amount

However, notwithstanding the above provisions, the following cases are exceptions:

  1. When a traveler withdraws (cancels) a travel contract within 24 hours from the time of payment for travel fees, and when a traveler cancels before a Friend is confirmed after tour reservation, the travel fee will be fully refunded. However, even if 24 hours have not passed since the traveler paid the travel fee, if the relevant time falls between 1 day before the travel date (from 0:00 on the day before the travel date) and the start of travel based on local time (in the case of Instant Booking reservations), it is excluded from full refund eligibility.
  2. When there is an amount that must be paid as a local reservation deposit according to the characteristics of the product, the cancellation and refund terms separately notified in the detailed description of each product shall apply to the refund of such reservation deposit.
